I was recipient of said email
from Mr. Beamer

Not that it was a surprise
I saw it coming
Not that I was that upset about it

I understand when a person
isn't ready to have a relationship

I understand
thinking that you are ready

by yourself
or not bugged by someone
or aren't in a place to give
all you need to in a relationship

I don't understand
not at least calling
when you know you should
or saying it sooner
and saving us all
some time and energy
